An appointment with an eye specialist is all that it takes for me to come up with a concept for a comic :) .
Well, here's how my story goes...
I had to visit an eye specialist recently and as the painful hours passed waiting for my turn, I ended up doodling a character.
Below is an initial sketch.
Previously 'd thought of creating a temperamental little boy, but then I ended up making a teenager for the simple reason that they are fun to draw :)
I never really had any plans of making a comic strip for him and therefore treated it as trash.
So this 'unnamed' character was stalled and stored in the deepest corners of my dark subconscious until one night, I just got bored waiting for the sandman to fill my eyelids with his magical sands to put me to sleep. He did not turn up which proved as an advantage and ended up doodling the same character (almost unconsciously) expressing his troubles in getting sleep. The plot started developing as i kept drawing each panel and I finally christened it as TICK TOCK.
As this comic was being created, I really felt that there should also be a recurring character and that was when I created another character from the initial sketches and named him E.Bliss.
