In fact October was quite fruitful for me. For instance, I happened to conduct a workshop on comic book art at this really amazing school called SHIBUMI. (wanna know about this place? log onto http://www.shibumi.org.in/ )
So, the workshop lasted two weeks from the 10th to the 21st. And believe me, I was really very very nervous on the first day. Guess it was the fact that these kids were A LOT smarter than me (seriously, not kidding...try messing with any kid here with your half baked lies and fantastic mumbo jumbo, they retaliate with a string of unanswerable questions).
During the workshop, the kids (between the age group of 6-8 years) were taken out for a walk where, we discussed a story and came up with a common plot for their respective comics. The story goes like this,
There was once an unhappy kingdom with an unhappy king...why was he unhappy? Because the kingdom was hit by a drought!! So the King ( ya he's still sad ), sends Z ( a hypothetical name for the supposed hero of our story) on a mission to look for food and water. Z goes out on a long journey and comes across an enchanted forest with magical fruits!! He takes them back to the kingdom and there's this HUUUUUUUGE celebration. Meanwhile, the witch of the enchanted forest finds that her fruits are missing!!! What happens next?? Find out for yourself..presenting! the works of Shibumi kids with their respective endings and protagonists for the story.
